DAY 1 - ARRIVAL IN PALERMO
Free arrival in hotel in Palermo. Check in and welcome by our assistant. Dinner in hotel and sightseeing tour of "Palermo By Night".

DAY 2 - SEGESTA / ERICE / WINE TASTING / COOKING LESSON 

Departure to West Sicily. First stopping at Segesta visiting its magnificent Greek Theatre and Doric Temple. Then visit of Erice. Lunch in a typical seafood restaurant and then visit to a local winery for wine tasting of Marsala, the great sweet wine of Sicily. Later have your first cooking lesson: our chef will teach how to prepare some traditional dishes that will be part of your dinner menu. Overnight.

DAY 3 - AGRIGENTO / PIAZZA ARMERINA

Departure to Agrigento visiting the Valley of the Temples, one of the most representative Greek site of the Mediterranean. Lunch in a typical restaurant. Afternoon you will travel to Piazza Armerina to visit the Villa Romana del Casale, famous for its extraordinary mosaics. Check in at a local farm house and time for rest. Dinner in the farm based on genuine food of their own production. Overnight.

DAY 4 - SIRACUSA / THE MT. ETNA WINES

Visit of Siracusa, the powerful town of Sicily during the Greek age. Visit to the archaeological site and to the historical centre. Lunch in a local restaurant with delicious fish dishes. Transfer to an estate at the slopes of Mt. Etna, the highest active volcano of Europe near Catania. Large vineyards, panoramic views. Visit to the vine cellar and wine tasting. Check in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 5 - EXCURSION ON MT. ETNA / TAORMINA

Excursion on Mt. Etna, up to 1.900 m. of altitude and possibility to proceed by jeep up to 2.500 m. under the main active craters. Lunch in a typical farm house having superb family dishes. Transfer to Taormina for a walking visit to this beautiful town famous for its Greek-Roman Amphitheatre and its enchanting views on the sea and Mt. Etna. Free time. Back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 6 - COOKING LESSON / THE MADONIE MOUNTAINS NATURAL PARK

Transfer to the Madonie Mountains Natural Park, a nice countryside at 70 kms away from Palermo. Cooking lesson in local farm house where the chef will teach some dishes of the local cuisine tradition. Lunch in the farm. Afternoon visit to the ancient village of Polizzi Generosa and have a tasting of typical sweetmeats. Check in at the hotel. Time for rest. Dinner and Overnight.

DAY 7 - ARAB-NORMAN AND BAROQUE PALERMO / FOOD MARKET / MONREALE

Transfer to Palermo visiting the main historical attractions of this town that has been crossroads of civilisation for ages. You will also visit the Vucciria, the most popular food market. Lunch in a typical restaurant. Afternoon visit to Monreale.  Check in at the hotel and free time. Farewell dinner in a fine restaurant: a superb menu based on typical recipes elaborated again by the best chefs. Overnight.

DAY 8 – DEPARTURE

Breakfast in hotel. Free departure.
