Ognuno sta solo sul cuor della terra trafitto da un raggio di sole: ed è subito sera.
Literary Parks in Sicily Literary parks are therefore, areas that have been a source of inspiration for writers and poets, in which there are traces, even today of elements of their narration. This is a national institution founded by Stanislavo Nievo, and now managed by The Ippolito Nievo foundation of Rome.
The aim of a literary park is to live and experience a literary work, looking and touching personally the objects, houses, streets, hills, landscapes, ports that have inspired some of the most famous and unforgettable writers like Luigi Pirandello, Salvatore Quasimodo or Leonardo Sciascia.
The role of such a project is to regain cultural identity of some places, to preserve, to regain and to develop the literature heritage. It’s a new way to preserve literature.
Literary parks are addressed to everyone, such young and elder people, to make them know and appreciate the history of a place, the most illustrious men and landscapes of a territory, of past and present, to make them starting to appreciate and love this beautiful island, rich of beauties and misfortune.
