Hercules' Temple it is the only temple in the province of Messina which is from the Greek period. Built in the IV century A.C., should have been a temple in Antis, shaped of the cell in which its side walls extended forward forming the pronao, the side

walls ended in two antes between which rose two pillars. Today only one cell exists, once the religiious area was reserved for priests only. It is a constuction of rock tufaceous. In the XVII century the cell became Mother Church and dedicated to S. Marco the Evangelist.         Consecutively on the portal was added Baroque architectural designs. Castel Ruin.
