Description
The first hotel to be built in Taormina, nestled in the rock adjacent to the Greek Theatre, Grand Hotel Timeo has been known as one of Italy’s most glamorous retreats, and a meeting place for illustrious guests. The Hotel is immersed in a park of 25,000 sqm. with many typical floral species. It houses the famous "literary terrace", with its spectacular view of Mount Etna and the Bay of Giardini Naxos.
Rooms
All 70 rooms and suites are stylishly decorated with Italian flair and all comforts. Most have beautiful terraces or balconies. The suites evoke the opulent Italian Baroque style, while the Presidential Suite has an expansive terrace with a summerhouse, a lounge, a dining room and a small hydro-massage swimming pool. Guests can choose to stay in the hotel or, for added privacy, in Villa Flora, a delightful residence house, just 50 metres from the main building.
Services
The restaurant, with breathtaking view, offers the most refined and authentic Sicilian and Mediterranean cuisine. The hotel has a wellness centre, a heated swimming pool surrounded by beautiful terraced gardens. Among the facilities: a pool bar, open daily in summertime. Guests can use the private beach belonging to the Villa Sant'Andrea, which is located on the beautiful bay of Mazzarò in Taormina mare. A complimentary shuttle service is available. Sun loungers and umbrellas are provided by the hotel.
