Description
Tenuta San Michele is a large estate, situated on a hill, in Santa Venerina, a little village at Mt. Etna slopes, between Catania and Taormina, in one of the main road that takes up to the craters. At 10 kms from the coast and 30 kms from the beautiful beaches of Taormina. An amazing scenic place and an impressive view of the volcano, make it a unique location. The Farm House is surrounded by 26 hectares of vineyards run by the family of the Baron Scammacca del Murgo that produces some of the finest wines.
Rooms
The old buildings, dominating the vineyard, have been carefully restored and refurbished and reconverted into a small country hotel which keeps its ancient charm, with its rural style, offering all the comforts. The hotel offers 10 rooms and 5 apartments with a small kitchen included. Both are comfortable and cosy, furnished with style, with private bathroom, hair-dryer, satellite TV, telephone, minibar and heating system.
Services
Breakfast is offered in the patio near the swimming pool where you can enjoy the wonderful panorama of the Volcano Etna and far away the Coastline on Mediterranean Sea. The pool provides deck-chairs and sun-shades. Meals are served in the restaurant near the present Cellar and the Main Family's Manor. Tenuta San Michele is a perfect location for those who want to combine relax and fascinating excursions to the main places of Eastern Sicily like Mt.
