Description
Situated in the small village of San Giovanni Montebello, province of Catania, this beautiful Farmhouse is located in a quite position on the Mt. Etna slopes. Few minutes driving from the coast the Farmhouse offers a wonderful view of Taormina and Catania. The ancient estate, dating back to the 19th century, still conserves today the original architecture and it is surrounded by different trees, mandarins, lemons, oranges, ruby-grapefruit and cherries. After the restoration, the central area, which original name was "Palmento" (wine making building), is today a small hall. The other wing of the Farmhouse was once used by workers and now is a beautiful guest-house.
Rooms
The farmhouse is also accessible for disabled people, its standard rooms have private bathrooms, television, and air conditioning.
Services
The restaurant offers typical dishes of the traditional rural cookery, home made pasta, ricotta cheese, bread, genuine meats and fruit preserves. The bar and the breakfast room, located into the old Palmento with its ancient wine press, have a warm and cosy atmosphere. The hotels also provide a TV and a reading room, baby sitting service on demand, private parking, a little shop where to buy some of the typical products and preserves. Pets are welcomed outside the common rooms. From here is possible to organise some excursion to the most renowned localities of Sicily. Features
